2017: Various Concept Materials

We spent a lot of time thinking about what the wall behind us would look like. It was always meant to be a party planning worksheet. In one world we dreamed of getting it printed or painted so it could be relatively-fancy:

You can see we had it broken down into a few key elements:

• Brainstorm: finding a theme/idea

• The Program: Writing music and narration (harkening back to our first three parties) and casting a narrator from the audience

• The Set & Decorations: A map of the Ready Room and a diagram of the stage for us to consider where to build Christmas trees and place directions.

• The Drink: A removeable panel where we’d write the night’s themed cocktail drink and then prop it up on the bar.

• Budget Meter: We had Jack and Danny in Kirkwood Commons (near Party City, Target, Hobby Lobby, and other key party planning stores) ready to by whatever we needed.

We also had the idea of having life-size cardboard cutouts of ourselves for people to decorate once we picked a theme. Here’s a photoshoot we did of possible cutout poses:
