Dan and Jack Eschmann recording dialogue for the movie. This first overdubbed movie was recorded on ProTools with the actors viewing the scene on mute and trying to match their lines to the lip movements on screen.

The projector settings we decided on for the party.

Originally all the characters who touched the monolith were going to suddenly have a Santa hat on as they backed away. We couldn’t get it to look good in test shots.

A screen grab of a tree from Kubrick’s “Eyes Wide Shut” which we hoped might be able to function as the monolith tree in our movie.

Series of pictures taken to superimpose into the movie. We wanted to land focus on this ornament and transition to a shot of the moon at the end of the movie.

We took many different pictures of a tree we set up to superimpose into the movie. Lots of different lighting styles to match ways the monolith is lit in 2001.
