2015: Mayor Speech and Videos

Below is a live recording of the 2015 “State of the Christmas Address” by Colin O’Brien, the Mayor of Christmas. Speechwriting by Peter Linck.

In 2015 the Mayor also continued his man-on-the-street promotional efforts. Check out 2015’s used and unused videos below. We consider this year to be when we peaked and began the long, slow, miserable deterioration of the Mayor videos.

The David’s Bridal video is considered by many to be the all-time best Mayor video:

Part of what makes it so fun is the exhausted-disgruntled energy we went into the store with. You can see in the un-used clip below that immediately before going into David’s Bridal we attempted to film a video at Party City but were kicked out. This video ends immediately before the above begins. They work nicely together, even if the Party City video leaves something to be desired.
